In today’s world, many people spend a lot of time in front of a screen, on social media not being social.

Statistics are showing that too much screen time can be detrimental to person’s mental health.

When utilising social media and screen time it is important to be aware and train yourself to be mindful, to stop and think of your thoughts and the harm your thinking may be creating for you.

Feeling lonely, feeling angry possibly, feeling cheated or even feeling hard done by.

Even feeling intimidated maybe.

The initial spark is not important.

You have that thought…

You choose to feed that thought…

At this time, you may choose to share that thought with another, who instead of having you see that thought for what it is and how it began.

They add fuel to your thought, believing it is your reality.

It may be something you have imagined to be true or blown out of proportion in your own mind, by feeding a thought and making assumptions.

Yes.. you are still hurt and angry and possibly many other emotions, and you are allowed to be all of them.

However you have a need to be careful about directing that hurt or anger toward other people, it is not okay to take aim at other people.

Such action can lead to being interrupted as slander, bullying and possibly incorrectly imply, accusing or judging another and without checking in on the facts of your own thinking, and this can be damaging for, not only yourself and your own self-confidence, but it can also affect other people.

So.. even home alone, behind your screen, you are connected to the outside world, even if you may feel extremely disconnected.

So.. BE CAREFUL… What you send.

How to treat Anxiety

What is anxiety?

Anxiety is NOT a random, unknown, or uncontrollable disease or illness that you develop, inherit, or contract. Anxiety results from a certain style of behavior.

More specifically, we create the physiological, psychological, and emotional state of being anxious when we behave in an apprehensive manner, such as being worried, fretful, and / or concerned.

Anxiety is a feeling of tenseness, uneasiness, panic, and / or agony. People experiencing this for the first time often do not understand what they are feel and certainly don’t know how to treat anxiety. A number  of normal day to day worries and fears are warranted, such as fretting over a particular concern or in expectation of taking a test, or assessment, for example. However, serious anxiety interferes with the sufferer’s capability to sleep and to function normally in their day to day live. Anxiety attacks may occur without a cause, or may be triggered by real circumstances. Severe anxiety can have a huge impact on daily life.

Anxiety can be accompanied by a diversity of bodily symptoms. Most frequently, these symptoms are related to difficulty in breathing, heart palpitations, headaches, nervousness, rashes and many more. You may have disturbed stomach, diarrheal, trouble in breathing, feel as if you may faint or feeling that you are having a heart attack.

Anxiety attacks are something that the mind has contrived but they have very real physical symptoms. In normal life, your mind is taught to react to the fight or flight sensation whenever exposed to something of concern, however anxiety attacks are far greater than this.

To treat your serious anxiety problems, you must first try to recognize the cause. Look for the source trigger that causes you to worry and then you can look to cure it by addressing this. Some people will find this straight forward, but others will not be able to pin point the reason for their anxiety attacks. For examples, if your heart palpitations are caused because of being in a particular circumstance, you can try to ensure you don’t get into that particular situation or when in that situation, practice mind distraction techniques. But that change can be simple – Once you make the decision to change, the body and mind accept and move into the “How”

Train to Change – Change Thinking Patterns, Feeling Patterns, Eating Patterns and Living Patterns and then we will bring about permanent change.

We can eat foods that we like – it is like everything in life – it is just about moderation, food combinations and portion sizes.
– small amounts to refuel the body and to give it energy.

Question to ask self is : When are you going to STOP treating your body like a rubbish bin?
Yes a rubbish bin, we fill it to over flowing, throw in scraps, leftovers and rubbish. Half the time we don’t even consider what we throw in.

People need to think about what they are eating, bring it to the most important decision you are making and begin to treat our body like our most precious and prized possession, that it truly is.

Therefore it is not just about Food and Exercise, it needs to include Thoughts and Attitude as well.

People need to understand and educate themselves with what the body needs when they think it is craving sugars or sweets.

I not only work with overweight and obese, I also work with other eating disorders such as Anorexia, Bulimia and my success is achieved by guiding them to control their thoughts and feelings.

People have a Choice
To succeed is to change the thought of depravation.

I really want people to know that there is a way to permanent change – to live a quality, rich life.
